Saturday Soul: Dream Team
Friendship changes as life changes. Angie reflects on the people who become your dream team in the years when connection matters most.
When we were younger, friendship could feel automatic.
School put people around us. Work put people around us. Kids’ activities put people around us. Life created the gathering places.
Then the years change.
People move. Jobs end. Children grow up. Families get busy. And suddenly friendship becomes something we have to choose more intentionally.
Your Dream Team May Be Smaller
I don’t think this season of life requires a huge circle.
It requires the right people.
The friend who checks in. The person who can make you laugh when you’ve had a hard week. The one who tells you the truth without making you feel small. The people who celebrate your wins without turning them into a competition.
Those relationships are worth protecting.
Connection Is Part of Living Well
We talk a lot about taking care of our bodies as we age. We should.
But taking care of our connections matters too.
Send the text. Make the dinner plan. Take the trip. Tell people you appreciate them while they can hear you say it.
Your dream team doesn’t have to be big. It just has to be real.
